Are there any specific places that people can trade in their gold? I have a pile of old gold necklaces and charms that I'd like to trade in for cash.  I know there's a place advertised on television but it looks like a scam.  Any suggestions?

Good question,
I have used Midwest Refineries and am happy with the service and the return, a lot of other folks I know use them too.
There has been news about some of the scam companies, I always check the Better Business Bureau when looking for a new company. All these companies are for scrap gold only and all stones and gems need to be removed.
The nicer rings get sold at auction, on ebay, some guys sell on Craigslist or have a connection to a jeweler.

I've read that the one on TV has plenty of complaints recently. I would also go with Midwest as most of the treasure hunters use them! pirate
