Just got a new one, my first. I found it was difficult to decide on one because I don't have a place I can go check them out. I felt the length was an important factor in my decision. Called a dealer who recommended the T-Handle Samson relic digger which he said was the top seller. It's about 27" overall, I'm 5'11' and it is very comfortable and easy to use.

What are you digging with?

That is a nice looking shovel, does it have room down by the blade to step on with your foot? Can't tell from the pic.

Not a big lip on the back of the blade to step on but the sides have plenty of room, that's where I find myself stepping. The handle gets narrower down by the blade, you can see it in the pic. Great shovel.

That is a great tool , I really like mine. If you have many roots where you dig you should try the model 80 at Predator Tools .

1) I can see why you would have trouble picking out one as they have maybe too many models.

2) I also like the t-handled designs. (don't own one, but know what I like)

3) no question great stuff.
